Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America
The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1953. The AAFA is the leading patient organization for people with asthma and allergies, and the oldest asthma and allergy patient group in the world.AAFA provides practical information, community-based services and support through a national network of chapters and support groups. AAFA develops health education, organizes state and national advocacy efforts and funds research to find better treatments and cures for asthma and allergic diseases. WELLalarm™ is happy to support the continued efforts of such medically, as well as historically, established organization as the AAFA to help find a cure.
KiDS of NYU Foundation, Inc.
Founded in 1991 by a group of parents and pediatric doctors, KiDS of NYU Foundation, Inc. works in partnership with NYU Medical Center to enhance clinical and supportive care for children and families, to fund research into childhood illnesses and to promote a child-friendly atmosphere. KiDS fulfills important needs, by lending support and providing funds to inpatient and outpatient programs, which serve children throughout the Medical Center, that may not be available from the hospital budget or other sources.KiDS has already made strides in the area of renovation of the neonatal intensive care unit, helped to expand the pediatric emergency medicine program at Tisch Hospital and more. It is the hope of WELLalarm™ to work with KiDS in their continued quest to improve the lives of pediatric patients at the NYU Medical Center.
The Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network
The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) was established in 1991. FAAN’s membership now stands at close to 30,000 worldwide and includes families, dietitians, nurses, physicians, school staff, and representatives from government agencies and the food and pharmaceutical industries. FAAN serves as the communication link between the patient and others. Its mission is to raise public awareness, to provide advocacy and education, and to advance research on behalf of all those affected by food allergies and anaphylaxis.
